Aviacomm Announces their Membership in the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA)
Aviacomm joins leading companies in the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance to promote regulations and technology that will enable new wireless markets through more efficient utilization of radio spectrum
Sunnyvale, Calif., Nov 8, 2013/PRNewswire/ — Aviacomm Inc., a leader in wideband RFIC transceiver design is pleased to announce their membership in the newly formed Dynamic Spectrum Alliance. Aviacomm joins Microsoft and other leading companies in the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance which is working to promote regulations and solutions that will enable broad new wireless markets through more efficient utilization of radio spectrum resources.
The growing popularity of wireless data communications has greatly increased demand on crowded frequency bands, leading to a need for additional spectrum resources. Dynamic spectrum allocation techniques offer significant efficiency improvements in spectrum utilization. As new spectrum resources are made available by regulatory agencies, the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance will advocate for rules that enable more efficient ways to use this spectrum.
The availability of new frequency spectrum for wireless products will provide broad new market opportunities for companies such as Aviacomm, who develop advanced wireless IC’s that meet the regulatory requirements of new frequency bands.
Aviacomm has developed and holds patents on key technologies that enable use of radio spectrum in frequency bands subject to challenging regulatory requirements. “As a pioneer of RF technology and an active member of the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, we are looking forward to contributing our expertise in RF systems and integrated circuit design to help shape the future of wireless communication,” said Mr. Shih Mo, President and CEO of Aviacomm, Inc.
“Aviacomm’s innovative RF transceiver solutions are designed to utilize new spectrum made available through the efforts of the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance”, said Paul Garnett, Microsoft Director of Technology Policy.
Aviacomm will be participating as a Platinum sponsor of the first Dynamic Spectrum Alliance Global Summit in Bangkok, Thailand, Nov 18, 2013. http://www.dynamicspectrumalliance.org/summit.html
